Book this 6 session introductory GCSE/iGCSE English skills course to improve your confidence and develop your English skills and knowledge as you prepare for the demands of GCSE English in Years 10 and 11.
The course will include:
- Key linguistic terminology
- Reading skills and comprehension
- Structural terms & analysis
- Synthesis & comparison of texts
- Creative writing focusing on descriptive techniques
- Applying a wide range of punctuation and sentence structures for effect
Delivered by a fully qualified Engish teacher with DBS on the update service.

My son who doesn’t choose to do extra work enjoyed the 6 lesson series of English Skills pre gcse course at the start of the summer holiday. He found Lisa approachable, adaptable, positive, gave clear instructions, and the lessons were fun and he actually looked forward to them each day!
Thankyou Lisa for a great course and he learnt a lot and gained a lot of confidence. It was just what my son needed.
